Ashley passed away at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021, at her home.
She was born January 1, 1991, at West Plains, Missouri, to Carol McCauley and Doug Hale. Ashley was the first baby born that year. She loved going on road trips and exploring the outdoors. Ashley loved all three of her boys and was very family oriented. She attended His Place House of Worship. Ashley was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her parents, Carol McCauley, West Plains, Missouri and Doug Hale, Cabool, Missouri; three children, Dominic, Ethan and Easton; her siblings, Matthew, Mark, Melissa and Nick, all of West Plains, Missouri.
Her grandma, Mary Hale, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Ryan passed away at 6:28 p.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021, at her home.
She was born September 12, 1937, at Jonesboro, Arkansas, to Bill Hill and Violet Pentecost Hill. On January 13, 1954, she was married at Orlando, Mississippi, to David Ryan. Anna loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling to different states, tending to her flowers and collecting antiques. Anna loved literature, art, museums and most of all her family.
She is survived by her husband, David Ryan, of the family home; four children, Brenda Hedden and husband, Mark, West Plains, Angee Ryan, West Plains, Sheri Mahan, Nixa, Missouri and Mark Ryan and wife, Threasa, West Plains; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and one sister, Dorothy Edwards, preceded her in death.

Mr. Jolliff passed away at 3:50 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021, at his home in West Plains, Missouri.
He was born September 27, 1932, at Rover, Missouri, to Aaron George Jolliff, Sr. and Elnora Hamilton Jolliff. On December 28, 1949, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Delores Talburt; he loved his wife (Sugar) of seventy-one years. Mr. Jolliff was a veteran; he was drafted in 1953 and proudly served with the United States Army in Korea. He was President and owner of Jolliff Transp. His motto was God 1st, Family 2nd and Job 3rd. Kenneth was a pilot, auctioneer and barber; he was a man of many talents. He loved watching Fox news. He was a leader of people by example and was a God fearing man, who loved his family and was generous with his blessings for people in need. Mr. Jolliff was a member of First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Delores Jolliff, Naples, Florida; two children, Mark Jolliff, West Plains, Missouri and Mendy Shults, Pekin, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, Anna and Michael Jolliff, Melissa Delatorre, Mark Shults, Megan Courson and Jody Coffey; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Carl Jolliff, Naples, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, one son-in-law, Gene Shults, two brothers, Aaron Jolliff, Jr. and Perry Jolliff, two sisters, Aretha Newnam and Rena Jolliff and one sister-in-law, Ruby Jolliff, preceded him in death.

He was born October 30, 1948, in Lewis County, Kentucky, to Ralph Hammon and Ethel Harr Hammon. On March 3, 1972, he was married at Columbus, Ohio, to Brenda Smith. He enjoyed reading and loved his family and grandkids. Mr. Hammon was a member of Cornerstone Nazarene Church.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hammon; three children, Melissa Lodge and significant other, Don, Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Trisha Moss and significant other, Jason, Pensacola, Florida and Richard Hammon and wife, Shawna, West Plains, Missouri; five grandchildren, Melinda Lodge, Nicholas Lodge, Marianna Hammon, Nevaeh Hammon and Brayton Hammon; three brothers, Paul Hammon Sr., Mark Hammon and Barry Hammon; one sister, Dianna Hammon; father-in-law, Richard Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

He was born December 22, 1940, at Marked Tree, Arkansas, to James Yates and Lucille Bell Yates. On January 17, 1962, he was married at Plant City, Florida, to Judie Ann Montgomery, who preceded him in death on October 2, 2016. Howard was a very hard worker and a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by two children, Barbara Bland, Mountain Home, Arkansas and Howard Eugene Yates and wife, Judy, State of Texas; daughter-in-law, Harriet Berger and husband, Roger, West Plains, Missouri; six grandchildren, James Lee Drewery, Chrystal Floyd, Heather Karr, Walter Drewery, Hilary Schmitt and Jesse Johnston; fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was born September 7, 1957, at Hinsdale, Illinois to Gene and Nancy Jens. Jim graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1976. On July 17, 1976, he was married at Mountain View, Missouri, to Janet Thompson. Mr. Jens was a veteran, having proudly served with the United States Air Force. He loved spending time with family, fishing, hunting, camping and working on cars. Jim was a volunteer with the Peace Valley White Church Fire Department. Mr. Jens was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

He was born July 9, 1969, at West Plains, Missouri, to Wayne Dwight Stubbs and Dorothy Evelyn Fox Stubbs. Greg graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1987. On August 27, 2005, he was married at West Plains to Marion Dougherty. Greg worked for the City of West Plains for many years. He enjoyed motorcycles and was a Mason. Greg was a Christian and loved his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Marion Stubbs, of the family home; one son, Geoffery and wife, Thalia, Cary, North Carolina; one grandchild, Zane; one brother, Gary Stubbs and wife, Tamara; one sister, Gail Colvin and husband, Steve; two nieces and two nephews, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Zack and Brandon; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clifford Dougherty and wife Joyce and Nancy Dougherty; special cousin, Rhonda Hollingshad and husband, Hershel; and sister-in-law, Christy Washington and husband, Dan and their children, Sandra and Alanna.

She was born October 3, 1947, at Yakima, Washington, to Louis Garcia and Jennie Saldivar Garcia. On May 24, 1968, she was married at Mount Vernon, Washington, to Wayne Lenard Finley, who preceded her in death on May 29, 2004. Linda enjoyed word games, old movies and her family. Mrs. Finley was a member of Hilltop Chapel Church.
She is survived by two children, Jason Finley and wife, Michelle and Crystal Finley, all of West Plains; three grandchildren, Felicity Finley, Cordell Finley and wife, Hailey and Creed Finley; three great-grandchildren, Jayson, Emmy and Ellis; five brothers, Robert Garcia and wife, Sharon, Mike Garcia and wife, Ronda, Gene Garcia, Danny Garcia and Ernie Garcia and wife, Renee; two sisters, Louise Miller and husband, Clint and Theresa Rocha and husband, J.R., and many nieces and nephews.

She was born April 17, 1931, at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, to Dan Huff and Veda Abernathy Huff. On Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1947, she was married to Dwayne Lair in West Plains, Missouri. She started her career at the International Shoe Factory. She then continued at Baxter Laboratories, from which she retired after twenty-eight years. If you needed a grandmother, she would take you under her wing and love you as much as her own grandchildren. She was well known for her chocolate pie.
She is survived by three children, Cheryl Carter (Gary), Dwanella Snethern (Al), and Layne Lair (Sandra), all of Caulfield, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Ty Carter, Kody Carter (Angie), Krista Wiese, Keagan Snethern, Daniel Belt (Tonya), Nathan Lair (Katie), Aubrey Lair (Peggy), Blaine Lair (Samantha), and Melissa Looney; fifteen great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Danaleen Crosby (Gary), Lillian, Alabama; one sister-in-law, Linda Cotter (Dwane), Caulfield, Missouri; and eleven nieces and nephews.

Victor Francis Prewitt, 85, West Plains, Missouri, passed away at 6:25 a.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at his home. Arrangements under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
L. Hoyt Griffith of West Plains, MO, age 91 years, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on August 21, 2021. He was born on December 25, 1929 in Chattanooga, TN, and was married for 69 years to Ruth Griffith (“his Ruthie”). They met while both were serving in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt and Nellie Griffith, his sister, Marie McDowell, and his sister Betty Ball and her husband, Ray, all of Tennessee.
He served in the Navy Reserve for two years from 1948-50, and in the Air Force for four years from 1950-54. His rank was S/SGT when he completed his service. He served as Radio Traffic Analyst with the National Security Agency (NSA) and was stationed at the South Post of Fort Myers and later attached to Bolling Air Force Base. His job was highly classified and he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After leaving the military, he led an exemplary civilian life. He received an Engineering Degree from the University of Tennessee and later having worked for GE and IBM, he became a Senior VP in Electronic Banking Division of IBC, a Bank Holding Company (now part of Wells Fargo). After retirement, he received a 10-year U.S. Government Service Pin for working with the U.S. Census.
Survivors include three daughters, Della Marie Griffith and Dixie Pohlman of Richmond, VA, Diane Smithey and son-in-law, Louis, of West Plains, MO, and son, Mark Griffith, of Avon Park, Florida.
Surviving grandchildren include Tanner Griffith (Kara) of Raleigh, Drs. Ashley DiMeola (Michael) of Vermont, Daniel Griffith (Meredith) of State College, PA, Michael Griffith of St. Petersburg FL, Elizabeth Griffith of St. Petersburg FL, Samuel Smithey (Sharon) of Kansas City, MO, and Jack Smithey (Emily) of Kansas City, MO.
Other survivors include sister Pam Harne (Donald) of Smithsburg, MD, and a number of beloved nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He wanted it to be known by all, just in case they didn’t know it before, that he knew and loved the Lord Jesus Christ and wanted all of his friends and acquaintances to also know and love the Lord. He was an active member of Franklin Heights Church in Rocky Mount VA for many years. When he moved to Missouri in 2018, “Griff” found a good church and enjoyed attending First Baptist Church of West Plains.
A memorial service will be held at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, MO on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 1:00 PM. He was born June 7, 1968, at Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Dennis Loyd Lapekes and Sherry Brotherton Collins. On November 13, 1986, he was married at West Plains, to Cindy Clark. Dennis enjoyed classic cars, singing and playing music; he loved taking his grandchildren camping.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Lapekes, of the family home; his mother, Sherry Brotherton Collins, West Plains, Missouri; his father, Dennis Loyd Lapekes and step-mother, Dee, Grand Rapids, Michigan; his son, David Lapekes and fiancé Summer Carter and their four children, Amber, Kendra, Creed and Raelynn; his son, Dennis Lapekes and wife, Kimberly and their five children, Bryson, Kayden, Quinton, Hailey and McKenzie; his son, Brian Clark and wife, Leisha and their three children, Trinton, Ramsey and Jameson, all of West Plains; his half-brother, Mark Lapekes, State of Michigan; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was born May 7, 1944, at Vanzant, Missouri, to Lewis Wake and Essie Collins Wake. On June 7, 1963, he was married at West Plains, to Paula K. Dotson, who preceded him in death on November 16, 2011. Mr. Wake was a carpenter by trade. He loved his family, and enjoyed nature, hunting and foraging for mushrooms. He was always there for anyone in need.
He is survived by four sons, Eddie Duane Wake and wife, Christina, West Plains, Darrell Wake and wife, Jessie, West Plains, Marty Wake, Peace Valley, Missouri and Mark Wake, West Plains; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Glenn Wake and wife, Violet, Pottersville, Missouri; three sisters, Lavon Pliler, Joplin, Missouri, Edna Storms, Springfield, Missouri and Marilyn Howell and husband, Dalton, West Plains; and many nieces and nephews.

Wilma Darlene Hall, 86, West Plains, Missouri, passed away at 5:24 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2021, at West Vue Nursing Center.
She was born September 17, 1934, at Dora, Missouri, to Dewey Russell and Birdie Smith Russell. On January 18, 1952, she was married at Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Floyd (Deane) Hall, who preceded her in death on December 24, 2002. Mrs. Hall worked for over thirty years as a cashier at Howell-Oregon Electric, retiring in May of 1992. She was a life longn Christian, her faith was one of the most important things to her. Wilma was known for her smile and always had one for everyone.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald (Jerry) Hall and wife, Debbie, Mountain Home, Arkansas and Mark Hall and wife, Tammy, Rogersville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Mandy, Beau and Brandon Hall; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillian Gunter, West Plains, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

Larry Gene Shockey, 59, Willow Springs, Missouri, passed away at 12:38 a.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at his home.
He was born May 29, 1962, at West Plains, Missouri, to Marvin Clayton Shockey and Wilma Abney Shockey. On March 7, 2002, he was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Karen Collins. Larry was a professional hunting guide. He was a big man with a big heart. Larry had a strong passion and love for the outdoors, getting young people into the outdoors and was in the National Hunters Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Shockey, of the family home; three children, Jessica Lynn Shockey, Willow Springs, Missouri, Tyler Collins, Ozark, Missouri and Zachary Shockey and wife, Erin, Rogersville, Missouri; four grandchildren; his mother, Wilma Shockey, Willow Springs, Missouri; one brother, Michael Shockey and wife, Jeanette, West Plains; and several nieces and nephews.

He was born January 23, 1936, at Pomona, Missouri, to Granville Wellington Smith and Viva Lee Burgess Smith. Donnie graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1954. Mr. Smith was a veteran, having served with the United States Army Company G 3D Battalion 14th armored cavalry and traveled to Germany. He lived in the Kansas City area for many years as well as Thomasville, Georgia before returning to live in West Plains the later years of his life. He worked for Fairbanks Morse Pumps, a division of Colt Industries as a Manufacturing Plant Manager. Donnie enjoyed spending time with his family, neighbors and friends and was loved by all. He was a sports fan and enjoyed playing golf and fishing. He also enjoyed gardening and working on projects around his home. He was a member of the 14 Junction coffee club with endless stories to tell. Donnie always had a positive attitude and always happy to help others.
He is survived by two children, Dawn Kirchmer and husband, Kevin, Olathe, Kansas and Brian Tullis and wife, Leslie, Blue Springs, Missouri; five grandchildren, Gavin, Kaylin and Sophia Kirchmer and Cole and Owen Tullis; two brothers, Lamar Smith and Howard Smith and wife, Nancy; one sister, Cora Jane Stevens; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
His parents, one brother, Joe Smith, one brother-in-law, Jack Stevens and two sisters-in-law, Fern Smith and Shirley Smith preceded him in death.
Mr. Smith will lie in state from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Funeral services for Lee Donald Vincent, 83, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 21, 2021 at United Freewill Baptist Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Vincent passed away at 12:47 p.m., Monday, August 16, 2021, at his home.
He was born April 12, 1938, at Koshkonong, Missouri, to Archie Vincent and Ethel Deavers Vincent. Lee graduated from Koshkonong High School. On July 1, 1961, he was married at West Plains, to Barbara Jones. Mr. Vincent was a veteran, having served with the United States Air Force for four years and the Missouri National Guard for six years. He worked as an inspector at Missouri Department of Transportation for thirty-eight years. He was a family man; his grandkids were his number one priority and he had a major role in the upbringing of them. He was very patriotic and flew a flag at his home every day to show support for his country. Lee was an avid Cardinals fan and would talk about them to his favorite nurse at every visit. He was a devoted Christian, father and husband; caring for his wife through sickness and health. Mr. Vincent was a member of United Freewill Baptist Church for over thirty years.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Vincent; two children, Becky Wade and husband, David and Bruce Vincent and wife, Melanie, all of West Plains; two grandchildren, Brittany Maggard and husband, Brandon, Republic, Missouri and Clayton Vincent, West Plains; his latest blessing, one great-granddaughter, Becca Maggard; three brothers, Dale Vincent and wife, Ethel, Springfield, Missouri, Harry Vincent and wife, Marie, Ballwin, Missouri and Jerry Vincent and wife, Norma, Naples, Florida; two sisters, Shirley Wilt and husband, Richard, Green Valley, Arizona and Sue Harris, St. Charles, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Dee Vincent, Boonville, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, one brother, Joe Vincent and two brothers-in-law, Larry Jones and Randal Harris, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, at United Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.
