We are so sad to hear of Dr. Kang’s passing. He was our family Dr. When we lived in West Plains. He was a wonderful Doctor and a good friend to our whole family. After we moved away, we often missed him being our Doctor. We had so much respect for him in all ways. Our prayers go out to Soon, David and Steven and all the family at this difficult time. Dr. Kang was a true patriot and a sincere Christian.

Mrs. Soon Kang and Kang Families,

My parents, Norris/Ivene Cozort, send their Deepest Sympathies to you and your family on the passing of Dr. Kang. He took very care of my Dad when he cut his finger off and sent my parents onto Springfield knowing that is where he needed further intricate treatment which wasn’t available here at the time. Prayers of comfort, encouragement, strength, and peace for all of you daily and may God bless all of you.
    In Christian Love,
    Norris/Ivene Cozort

Soon, David, & Stephen, We are so sorry for the loss of Dr. Kang. He was a wonderful man & a very dedicated doctor. Rob always enjoyed their political discussions when he had his weekly allergy shots. The obituary described him beautifully, always attending school events & recording the boys’ accomplishments! We loved it when he & Soon were in the church choir. He made a huge difference in our community. Love, Rob & Debbie Stauffer

I’m sad to hear of this passing, so sorry! Dr. Kang was our family doctor when we moved to WP in 1994, he was hard man to replace and the only one who could take your blood and not feel it. Always caring with a funny undertone. You are missed, RIP.

    Mrs. Kang, David. & Stephen,
Dr. Kang was very much of a family man. I remember in elementary that he was there for all occasions & a very concerned Dad & doctor. He was so proud of you boys. When he talked about you, he beamed. Same for you , Mrs. Kang, he loved you, sparkled when you played or sang. He will greatly missed! Condolences & God’s blessings!

I was 9 years old when Dr. Kang literally saved my life. I ran a fever of 104 for over a week. He was at his literal end and told my mother that the only thing he knew to do was send me to the St. Louis children’s hospital. However, he mixed up something and told my mother to give it to me every 6 hours around the clock. And if in 24 hours my fever didn’t break he was sending me via ambulance to St. Louis. My mother said at hour 19 my fever broke and she called him at 230 AM and told him that I was sweating and hungry. He told her to push fluids and feed me. He literally saved my life. He was an AMAZING doctor. I’m so sorry for the loss of your loved one. May God grant you peace in this difficult time. Just know that as outstanding as he was, his care for his patients left an indelible mark on their lives and he’ll never be forgotten. I know that I’ll never forget him.
