Constance (Connie) May Benson

Connie passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Cox South, Springfield, Missouri.
She was born May 14, 1938, in Lincoln, Nebraska to parents Eldon Toland and Latha Hoyt (Coy). On March 2, 1973, she was married at Peru, New York, to Donald Benson. She was passionate about music, singing, water color painting, crocheting and animals, especially her beloved dachshunds. When she was younger, she loved to sew and square dance. Connie loved her family, especially her grandchildren; she loved flowers, with yellow roses being her favorite. She enjoyed collecting angels and loved writing poetry. Connie was very creative and expressed her gifts through her poetry and art. She even published a book at 80 years old of her poetry, illustrated by her art. She was a member of First Christian Church, she loved the lord, and singing in the choir brought her great joy.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Benson, of the family home; three children, Monica Juett and husband, Pat, Georgetown, Kentucky, Shanica Crews and husband, David, Springfield, Missouri and Shava Norsworthy and husband, Rolan, Peace Valley, Missouri; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Her parents, Fred and Latha Coy and one son, Daniel Benson, preceded her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church or Ventures in Art and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., West Plains, Missouri. Online condolences may be left at www.robertsondrago.com

Don so sorry to learn of Connie’s death. We did not visit a lot but what time we did she was a real treat.
I dropped by your home one time to pick up comklim product. Connie was so kind and gave me a tour showing me your family, her art and poetry. I hated to leave and she did not want me to leave. I have no idea where you were
