Ruth Mae Harper

Ruth Mae Harper, 89, West Plains, Missouri, passed away on January 30, 2026.

She was born August 13, 1936, to her parents, Alfred and Lydia Swaringam.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold Eugene Harper, four brothers, Eugene, Billy, John and Harold Lee, two sisters, Betty and Irma, one daughter, Almeda Rose Pinckard, one son, Randall Lee Harper and two granddaughters, Jeanie Dawn Williams and Angela Rene’ Williams.

She is survived by two brothers, William and David; four sisters, Mary, Wanda, Carol and Christina; nine children, Peggy Brenda Schick (Jon), Barbara Ellen Smith, Harold Eugene Harper, Jr., Daniel Wayne Harper (Lisa), Marilyn Ruth Logan (Tim), Nancy Gail Guess, Michael David Harper (Amanda), Crystal Rene’ Harper and Cortney Dawn Harper, twenty-four grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.

Mrs. Harper was a longtime member of the West Plains Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on April 4, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1569 West Highway 160, West Plains, MO  65775.
