A Memorial service for Anita Ruth Gianunzio, 74, West Plains, Missouri will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 21, 2014, at the Needmore Church of God, Dora, Missouri.

Mrs. Gianunzio died at 6:46 a.m., Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Ozarks Medical Center.

She was born January 1, 1940, at Alton, Illinois, to Wilfred and Ruth Minor Sanders. In 1968, she was married at Alton, Illinois, to Steven Gianunzio, who preceded her in death in 1984. Before her retirement Mrs. Gianunzio was a school teacher; she taught English and Special Education.   She was a Christian and was very strong in her spiritual faith. Mrs. Gianunzio was a member of the Needmore Church of God.

She is survived by two sons, Matt Gianunzio, wife, Annette, Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and Mark Gianunzio, Dora, Missouri; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Julia Sanders, West Plains, Missouri.

Her parents, husband and one son, Mike Gianunzio, precede her in death.
