Luke Aaron Smith

Funeral services for Airman First Class Luke Aaron Smith, 25, Kirkland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, New Mexico and formerly of Bakersfield, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the Langston Street Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
He died Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Albuquerque, New Mexico. Airman First Class Smith was born December 29, 1988 at West Plains, Missouri to Howard Smith, Jr. and Elizabeth Friel Smith and was raised by Tim and Alice Williams. He graduated from the Easter Sunrise Academy of Hardy, Arkansas. After graduation, he worked for Foster Feed in Bakersfield, Missouri and had been a member of the Civil Air Patrol which influenced his decision to enter the United States Air Force. Airman First Class Smith was an aerospace ground equipment specialist with the United States Air Force having been stationed for three years in Japan and currently serving at the Kirkland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He is survived by his uncle and aunt, Tim and Alice Williams, Bakersfield, Missouri; parents, Howard Smith, Jr. and Elizabeth Smith, West Plains, Missouri; his brothers and sisters, Temothy Williams, Jr., wife, Emily, Bakersfield, Missouri, Charity Porcius, husband, Marius, Jeffersonville, Indiana, Isaac Williams, wife, Richelle, Nampa, Idaho, Beth Williams, Michael Williams, Hattie Williams, Matthew Williams, Gabriel Williams, all of Bakersfield, Missouri, Ruth Smith, West Plains, Missouri, Vanessa Langley, husband, Michael, Searcy, Arkansas, Karen Wilson, husband, Jonny, Pangburn, Arkansas, Leta Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Serena Smith and David Smith, all of West Plains, Missouri; and eight nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 12th, at the Langston Street Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be close to his grandfather, James Friel at the Thayer City Cemetery, Thayer, Missouri.
