Obituary

Funeral services for Dianne Arlene Guy, 52, West Plains, Missouri will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

She was born October 6, 1962 in Columbus Ohio. Dianne was diagnosed with Amyloidosis in 2012 and bravely battled that disease until she passed away November 1, 2014.

Dianne had a love for Southern Gospel music, her faith, Angels, Tinkerbell and butterflies. She loved to cook and entertain for family and friends in her home. Dianne was a mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She enjoyed her grandchildren and their activities. If there was a party, Dianne was there. Dianne loved going to the lakes and rivers. While still able to travel, she realized her lifelong dream to see the ocean when she took a trip to Florida with her family and made many memories there with the children at Disneyworld and the seashore. Dianne was employed for several years as a Certified Nurse Assistant and also worked as an in home caregiver and housekeeper. She found great satisfaction in helping others.

On May 30, 1981, she was united in marriage to Bobby Gene Guy and to this union three sons and one daughter were born.

She is survived by her four children, James Curtis Guy and wife, Debi, Nixa, Missouri, Robert E. Guy and wife, DeLayna, Republic, Missouri, Sherri Beth Guy, West Plains and Gregory Adam Guy, West Plains; the loves of her life, her five grandchildren, Daniel, Kristy, KayeLeigh, Kayson, Teagyn; several great-grandchildren; five sisters, Elly Tipton, Cincinnati, Ohio, Betty Tate, Ava, Missouri, Joi Collins, West Plains, Suzie Barnett, West Plains and Donna Barnett, West Plains; one brother, Randy Spencer, West Plains; her best friend, Wanda Bowman; and her three legged companion, Coco.

Her parents, Jerry and Norman Barnett and infant brother, Benny Jack Barnett, precede her in death.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or Evergreen Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
