Dorothy Jewell Foster

Funeral services for Dorothy Jewell Foster, 82, Bakersfield, Missouri, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Gamaliel Church of Christ, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Foster died at 3:00 a.m., Monday, November 26, 2012, at West Vue Nursing Center. 

She was born May 23, 1930,  in Ozark County, Missouri, to Henry and Mable Davidson Roberts.  On March 28, 1950, she was married at Viola, Arkansas, to Travis Ewing Foster, who preceded her in death on November 6, 1992, and to this union, three children were born, Bob Foster, Kathy Cotter and Billy Foster.  She spent the majority of her life living in the Bakersfield, Missouri area as a homemaker and mother.  Mrs. Foster was a devout believer in the Church of Christ faith and attended the Gamaliel Church throughout her life.  She will be remembered as a very kind lady, who was always considerate of the feelings of others.

She is survived by two children, Bob Foster, wife, Martha, Salem, Arkansas and Kathy Cotter, husband, Garold, Bakersfield, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Cathy Foster, Bakersfield, Missouri; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

Her parents, husband and one son, Billy Foster, precede her in death.

Mrs. Foster will lie in state from 4:00 p.m., Tuesday until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Bean Cemetery, Gamaliel, Arkansas.  Memorial contributions may be made to Gamaliel Church of Christ, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
