Graveside services for Edith Marie Austill, 90, West Plains, Missouri, will be at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at the National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Austill died at 11:07 a.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, Missouri.  She was born August 28, 1921, at Lawrence, Kansas, to Thomas and Hila Messer Lee.  On November 24, 1940, she was married at Lawrence, Kansas, to Cecil A. Austill, who preceded her in death on January 20, 1987.  Mrs. Austill was a homemaker and enjoyed ceramics and other activities at the Senior Citizens Center.  She was a member of First Christian Church where she enjoyed her Sunday school class and Christian Women's fellowship.

She is survived by three children, Nancy Watkins, Susan Johnson, both of West Plains, Missouri, and Cecil "Jay" Austill, Jr., wife, Debbie, Breckenridge, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Bakken, Chris Watkins, Jeff Austill, Angie Patton, Tyler Austill, Sherry Bailey and Tracy Cherry; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Virginia McGee and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, one brother, Jack Lee, three sisters, Ellen Penfold, Edna Owens and Eva Colburn precede her in death. Mrs. Austill will lie in state from 12:00 until 5:00 p.m., Monday, January 16, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to West Plains Christian Clinic, First Christian Church Elders Fund or any local Hospice organization and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
