Helen Adele Collins

Funeral services for Helen Adele Collins, 88, West Plains, Missouri, will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Collins died at 1:38 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at West Vue Nursing Center, West Plains, Missouri.  She was born July 18, 1923, at Elijah, Missouri, to Tom and Agnes Marshall Colvin.  On June 15, 1940, she was married at Gainesville, Missouri, to Chester Orville “Chet” Collins, who preceded her in death on July 9, 2007.  Mrs. Collins was an original employee of the International Shoe Company and after her retirement, she worked at The Flower Barn.  Also, she loved to cook and iron her grandchildren’s clothes.  Mrs. Collins was a member of the Curry Street Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, Joe Tom Collins, wife, Delores, West Plains, Missouri; two grandchildren, Renaee Williams, husband, Steve, West Plains, Missouri and Rodney Collins, fiancée Stacy Smith, Springfield, Missouri, seven great-grandchildren, Jennifer Coursey, husband, Justin, Brandi Bell, husband, Micco, Brennen Wood, Tasha Williams, fiancé Adam Nettles, Jake Smith, McKenzie Smith and Nick Smith; five great-great-grandchildren, Dagen, Trista, Lathen, Kylee and Kendra, and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Jim Bohm.

Her husband, parents, four brothers, Sheridan, Monroe, Claude and Ray Colvin, precede her in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Paragould Children’s Home and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
