Funeral services for James Sylvester Skiles, 81, Dora, Missouri, will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mr. Skiles died at 6:45 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, Missouri.  He was born March 10, 1930, at Sycamore, Missouri, to Richard and Rada Freeman Skiles.  On November 13, 1951, he was married at Hardy, Arkansas, to Ruby Tetrick.  Mr. Skiles was of the Baptist faith and attended the Sweeton Community Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Skiles, of the family home; two children, Rick Skiles, Springfield, Missouri and Tammy Collins, husband, Mike, Twin Bridges, Missouri; two grandchildren, Kemmy Collins, wife, Ashley, Nixa, Missouri and Tyson Collins, wife, Sarah, Springfield, Missouri; one great-grandchild, Dawson Michael Collins; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, one brother, R.G. Skiles and three sisters, Joy Skiles, Jewell Turner and Jarel Parton, precede him in death.

Mr. Skiles will lie in state from 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2012, until service time at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Sweeton Pond Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Sweeton Pond Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
