Jimmie Allen Runkle, 80, West Plains, Missouri, passed away at 9:20 a.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at NHC Healthcare.

He was born July 22, 1935, at Freeport, Illinois, to Irven William Runkle and Lucy May Shippy Runkle.  Jim was the original owner of Mama Lena's in Lena, Illinois.  He later enjoyed woodworking and living in the Ozarks.

He is survived by his wife, Lana Hermann; three sons, William Runkle and wife, Maureen, Sarasota, Florida, Robert Runkle, wife, Juanita, Belvidere, Illinois and Scott Runkle, wife, Julie, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; one daughter, Lorraine Bradshaw, Freeport, Illinois; and all of their families.

At Jim's request, cremation rites were accorded and no service will be held.  Memorial contributions may be made to the OMC Shaw Cancer Treatment Center and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
