Judy was the most loving, caring, and giving person we have ever known, whether it was financially, opening her home for someone to stay, or any other cause, and never asking for anything in return. She was a loving, caring mother who raised two christian sons. We are honored to have Chad as our son-in-law, he is giving our daughter and grandchildren a christian home. We have to remember that the best day here on earth is nothing compared to Judy’s new home in heaven. Joe Bill, Chad, Jessica, Greg, Jaime, and grandchildren you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

Judy was an inspiration to many both as a runner (every day on her lunch hour) and as a kind positive person. Judy always had a smile on her face when I saw her. I am praying for Joe Bill, Chad and Greg as well their families.

Our hearts are sadden from the Dixon Family’s lose. We only had the chance to meet and talk with Mrs. Dixon a few times but in those short meetings we came to know a kind, gentle and given heart. Coach, losing your life partner and love of your life has to be the hardest thing you will ever do. But, of all the people I know in this world you have been a steady and strong guiding light for more people than could be named. I know much of that strength came from your loving bride of nearly 42 years, the love and strength that she gave you will carry you and your family through this difficult time. Like I told her the first time I met her, “She is a true Champion”! Please know that you and yours are in the hearts and prayers of everyone here in Herculaneum’s Cross Country Family. God Bless The Dixon Family!

Judy ran an inspiring race, stayed the course, and is doing a victory lap on streets of gold. She was a quiet and gracious lady with profound spiritual strength and family devotion . We are praying for the wonderful family that she loved so much and considered a great blessing.

Our sympathy goes out to you and your family at this difficult time. I’d not seen Judy recently but during the years I worked with her at BCMC she was an inspiration. Behind every great family, there is always a courageous, loving woman. Our lives have been so blessed by the Dixons and we can only assume the family’s Christian love and service came from Judy and Joe Bill. We lift you up in prayer as such a beautiful, strong example is sure to be incredibly missed. We also glory in God that her example of love and courage continues to shine daily through her precious family. As Paul said, Judy has run the race and won the prize. May we all be so worthy when we meet our Savior.

    Coach Dixon & family,
My family’s thoughts and prayers are with you all during this bittersweet season. Bitter in the pain of losing someone so precious and central to your family; yet Sweet in that you all KNOW she is with the Lord and she has no more suffering, and she has reunited with those who are asleep in Christ – and she awaits your arrival in paradise with her. The Bible tells us that “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints” (Ps116:15) – so we know that Heaven has prepared a special Homecoming celebration for ‘Mimi’.

Coach Dixon – you have been a pillar of strength to all the runners you have coached and mentored over the decades – especially for my son, Joshua. Thank you. I am sure that Judy was a strong reason behind your strength; and a source of both love, hope and inspiration. I’m so sorry for your loss and pain. Please know that beyond your family there is an entire community of loyal followers who care about you and your family because you have cared for sons and daughters of ours.

Thank you ‘Mimi’ for being that special, quiet source of strength, love and inspiration to your very special, loving family.

With love, from the Ingalls family,
    – Richard Ingalls
