Funeral services for Mary Joyce Thornberry Barrett, 84, West Plains, Missouri will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 10, 2015, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Barrett died at 5:25 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2015, at Ozarks Medical Center.

She was born December 1, 1930 at Jefferson City, Missouri to Ray Thornberry and Mildred Joyce Clark Thornberry. She met her husband of sixty-four years, James Edwin Barrett while living in West Plains. They married May 17, 1950, at Rapid City, South Dakota and had one daughter, Dianne Glovatsky and later adopted a son, Jerry. They lived in Louisiana and Bowling Green, Missouri until retiring to West Plains.

Mary is survived by her husband, daughter, son and eight grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Howell Valley Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to West Plains Public Library, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
