Graveside services for Acie Junior Pennington, 86, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2026, at Pleasant View Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Pennington passed away at 10:15 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Shady Oaks Healthcare, Thayer, Missouri.

He was born October 30, 1939, at Sikeston, Missouri, to Barney Abraham Pennington and Ruby Campbell Pennington. On October 28, 1972, he was married at Midland, Michigan to Patricia Tereau. Mr. Pennington was a veteran, having served with the United States Army for two years in the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment. Before his retirement, Acie worked as a mechanic and RV Repairman. He enjoyed woodworking, watching golf, doing word puzzles and making crafts. He also enjoyed talking to people, loved meeting people and he especially loved children. Mr. Pennington was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Pennington; two children, Chris Pennington and wife, Tina and Russell Pennington and wife, Mary; one granddaughter, Ashleigh Kurtz and husband, Brice; two great-granddaughters, Charlotte Grace Kurtz and Violet Faith Kurtz; one brother, Jim Pennington and wife, Kathy; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, one son, Scott Andrew Pennington, one grandson, Zakary Pennington and two sisters, Mary Sue Pratt and Lucille Carter, preceded him in death.
