Funeral services for Billy Joe Jones, 77, Springfield, Missouri, will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Jones died at 11:25 a.m., Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Manor Care Nursing Home, Springfield, Missouri.  He was born August 8, 1934, in Christian County, Missouri, to Fred Wiley Jones and Clara Marie McGinnis Jones.  On November 16, 1973, he was married at Miami, Oklahoma, to Joan M. Crider, who preceded him in death on March 31, 2009.  Mr. Jones was a veteran having served with the United States Marines and United States Army.  Before his retirement, he was the maintenance supervisor for Logan-Rogersville Schools.  He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by eight children, James Jones, wife, Madeline, West Plains, Missouri, Larry Jones, wife, Janet, Springfield, Missouri, David Jones, wife, Johnnie, Brighton, Missouri, Dorothy Kornegay, husband Bryan, Ozark, Missouri, Leigha Snow, Park Hills, Missouri, Billie Jo Wiles, husband, Jay, Springfield, Missouri, John David Crider, wife, Michelle, Tucson, Arizona, and Michael Crider, wife, Vickey, Battlefield, Missouri; thirty-nine grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Sandra Jones, Lebanon, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, wife, one son, Billy Ray Jones, one daughter, Rebecca Denke, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two brothers, precede him in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Dripping Springs Cemetery.
