Obituary

Funeral services for Charles Andy Franks, 85, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 8, 2014, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Franks died Friday, June 6, 2014, at West Vue Nursing Center.

He was born August 9, 1928, at Viola, Arkansas, to Orvis Talmage Franks and Essie May Roe Franks. He graduated high school at Viola, Arkansas, with the Class of 1946. On May 27, 1950, he was married at Viola, Arkansas, to Maxine Parker. Mr. Franks was a veteran, having served with the United States Air Force. He worked as a Real Estate Broker and Appraiser for over forty years. Mr. Franks was a Master Mason, a member of Mt. Zion Lodge AF & AM and was a Shriner of HOST Shrine. He loved hunting, fishing and playing golf. He proudly provided for his family and helped friends and neighbors. Mr. Franks was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Franks, of the family home; one son, Roger Franks and wife, Candace, Little Rock, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Ava Franks, Little Rock, Arkansas; two brothers-in-law, Roscoe Parker, West Plains, Missouri and Hubert Mitchell, of the State of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, one brother, Imon Franks and one sister, Janet Mitchell, precede him in death.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Evergreen Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
