Funeral services for Thomas Charles Sams, Jr., 62, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Sams passed away Wednesday morning, July 11, 2018 at his home.

He was born January 17, 1956, at West Plains, Missouri, to Thomas Charles "Tom" Sams and Docie Gunter Sams. On April 25, 1975, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Sherri Armstrong. Mr. Sams had worked at Pruett Home Improvement. He could build anything that he wanted and enjoyed motorcycle riding. Mr. Sams always put his family and friends first and loved playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Sherri Sams; two children, Shawna Hammon and husband, Richie and Ashley Heston and husband, Chad; five grandchildren, Mariana, Nevaeh, Brayton, Peyton and Libby; one sister, Wonda Marcum and husband, John; mother-in-law, Delores Armstrong; four sisters-in-law, Penny Armstrong, Denise Hunter, Sheila Chinn and Kathy Fischer; one brother-in-law, Keith Armstrong; a friend who was like a brother to him, Rex Knapp and wife, Debbie; special friend, Robert Ford and wife, Judy; lots of nieces and nephews, including a niece who was like a daughter, Michele Kight and husband, Clifford, II.

His parents preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity or any children's charity and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
