Graveside services for Christine Florence Doneski, 83, Gamaliel, Arkansas, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 8, 2026, at St. Joseph Cemetery, near White Church, Missouri, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Christine passed away at 8:20 a.m., Monday, May 4, 2026 at her home.
She was born December 30, 1942, at Chicago, Illinois, to Christian James Manheim and Florence Hart Manheim. On September 24, 1965, she was married at Chicago, Illinois, to Raymond Alfred Doneski, who preceded her in death December 8, 2008. Christine was born and raised in Chicago and moved into the Ozarks in the 1960’s. She served in local politics and advocated for many great causes over the years; she cared for others a great deal. Christine was a real estate broker for over 50 years. She was a very hard worker, was driven, determined and persistent. She was an entrepreneur and employed many people in her ventures, including Hillcrest Realty and Hillcrest Motel in Willow Springs, Missouri, and Gamaliel Realty and CJ’s Hotdog Stand – A Chicago style hot dog stand (Christine was passionate about Chicago dogs) in the Gamaliel and Mountain Home, Arkansas areas. She cared for her family and enjoyed gardening, baking and Coca-Cola. She loved Elvis Presley and was President of the Elvis Presley, Chicago Land Fan club in the late 1950’s. Christine was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Willow Springs, Missouri and later in life she attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in White Church, Missouri, health permitting.
She is survived by two children, Robert Doneski and wife, Amanda and Ann Marie Ocker and husband, David; two grandchildren, Christian Doneski and wife, Chloe and Claire Doneski; one great-grandchild, R.J. Doneski; lifelong family friend and caregiver, Patrick Benson; and one sister, Margaret Ann “Peggy” Dolezal.
Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Cemetery, and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., West Plains, Missouri.
