Cynthia Dawn Booth's Obituary

Cynthia Dawn Booth, 65, passed away at home on March 29, 2026. She was born July 12, 1960, in Beloit, Wisconsin, to David M. Matson and Phyllis (Murphy) Kretchmar.

Cynthia married Robert E. Booth on October 22, 1994, in Pottersville, Missouri. She proudly served in the United States Air Force, where she worked on the engines of C-130 aircraft. She was known for her stubborn and ornery nature, paired with a dark sense of humor, but those who knew her best also knew she was soft-hearted and deeply beloved by her family and friends.

She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, watching movies, going out to eat with friends and family, and LARPing with those she loved. Cynthia had a special fondness for unicorns and peacocks. More than anything, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Joey Booth and wife, Lisa, Pottersville, Missouri, Sharie Booth, West Plains, Missouri, and Holly Mutz and husband, Cody, West Plains, Missouri; five grandchildren, Scott Klingler, Keegan Booth, Kayleigh Stein, Elana Klingler, and Sheyanne Stein; her mother and step-father, Phyllis and Joe Kretchmar; two sisters, Kim and Gail and their spouses; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her father, her infant son, and her grandparents.

Cynthia will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
