Daniel Leroy Harris, 69, Alton, Missouri, passed away at 11:23 a.m., Friday, November 11, 2022, at his home.

He was born March 13, 1953, at West Plains, Missouri, to Leroy Harris and Rachel Barnett Harris.  On November 3, 1972, he was married at Royal Oak, Missouri, to Gloria Blankenship.  Mr. Harris worked as a quality controller at DRS.  Daniel enjoyed hunting and loved his dog, Scruffy.  He was retired Military and was a proud Mason.  Mr. Harris attended Royal Oak Freewill Baptist Church.

He is survived by  his wife, Gloria Harris, of the family home; three children, Mike Harris and spouse, Tony, Forsyth, Missouri, John Harris and spouse, Norma, State of Oklahoma and Mark Harris and spouse, Lisa, Royal Oak, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Alex, Matthew, Joseph, Victoria, Deidra, Jon, Abby, Devin and Trey; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Virgil Harris and spouse, Sue Ann, State of Colorado and George Harris and spouse, Cindy, West Plains, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents and one sister, Carolyn Sue Cherry, preceded him in death.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.  Arrangements under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
