Graveside services for David Leslie Ryan, 91, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Howell Valley Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Ryan passed away at 7:55 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2026, at Cox South, Springfield, Missouri.

He was born November 18, 1934, in Howell County, Missouri, to James Hurbert Ryan and Sarah Magdalene Fredrick Ryan. On January 13, 1955, he was married at Orlando, Mississippi, to Anna Lou Hill, who preceded him in death on August 28, 2021. Mr. Ryan was a lifelong cattle farmer and a Teamster in Pipeline Construction for 57 years. He was a witty guy and a hard worker. Mr. Ryan loved his cattle, his red dog and taking people deer hunting.

He is survived by four children, Brenda Hedden and husband, Mark, West Plains, Angaline Ryan, West Plains, Shari Mayhan, Nixa, Missouri and Mark Ryan and wife, Threasa, West Plains; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Sally Maxine Iatarola, State of Indiana; several nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Lyle Arnett.

His parents, wife, two sisters, Lois Hoglen and Lorraine McMillon, one infant sister, Sharon Elizabeth and one brother, James Harvey, preceded him in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to Howell Valley Cemetery, and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., West Plains, Missouri.
