Obituary

Eddie Dean Hodo, of West Plains, Missouri, passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 58. He was born on May 7, 1968, in West Plains, Missouri, to Joseph Edward Hodo and Genevieve Berry.

Eddie was a skilled mechanic who dedicated 30 years to his work. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed fishing, barbecuing, and collecting firearms. He had a special love for his dogs and took great joy in their companionship. Eddie was a man who enjoyed working with his hands and could fix just about anything. He was of the Christian faith.

He is survived by his mother, Genevieve Berry; two brothers, George Tate and Joey Hodo; two sisters, Lela Gunter and her husband, Chris, and Amanda Jones; and many nieces and nephews.

His father, Joseph Hodo; one sister, Venetta Smith; and two brothers, Lloyd Jr. Tate and Brian Reed, preceded him in death.

A private graveside service will be held under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Clear Springs Cemetery, and can be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St, West Plains, MO.
