Funeral services for Elizabeth "Lizzie" Rhine, 88, Bakersfield, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 23, 2012, at Full Gospel Church, Bakersfield, Missouri, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rhine died at 11:20 p.m., Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Hospice House of the Ozarks, Mountain Home, Arkansas.

She was born May 1, 1924, at Vidette, Arkansas, to Hamey and Ora Johnson Bales.  On August 31, 1948, she was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Jake Rhine, who preceded her in death July 23, 1996.  Mrs. Rhine was a homemaker and a seamstress; she loved to make quilts, especially for all of her grandchildren.  She enjoyed shopping and cooking meals for her family.  Mrs. Rhine was a member of Full Gospel Church, Bakersfield, Missouri.

She is survived by five children, Sharon Walker, husband, Donnie, Henderson, Arkansas, Judy Mullins, husband, Mickey, Bakersfield, Missouri, Ellen Shrable, husband, Danny, Gepp, Arkansas, Daniel Rhine, wife, Sandra, Salem, Arkansas and June Norman, husband, Rex, Sturkie, Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren and one on the way; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Erby Bales, wife, Sunshine, Bakersfield, Missouri; one sister, Agnes Pendergrass, Mountain Home, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, two brothers, Harley Bales, and wife, Lorene and Everett Bales, and wife, Maxine and one brother-in-law, Noel Pendergrass, precede her in death.

Mrs. Rhine will lie in state from 4:00 p.m., Saturday until noon on Sunday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Bakersfield Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of the Ozarks or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
