Obituary

Graveside services for Ethel "Maxine" Freel, 81, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Homeland Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Freel died at 6:51 a.m., Friday, September 27, 2013, at Ozarks Medical Center.

She was born June 22, 1932, at Thomasville, Missouri, to William Thomas Parrott and Jocia Leeanna DePriest Parrott.  On February 7, 1953, she was married at Hardy, Arkansas to Donald Freel.

She is survived by her husband,  Donald Freel, of the family home; two children, Joyce Clarkson, husband, Mike and Rhonda Griffin, husband Barry, all of West Plains, Missouri; three grandchildren, David Clarkson, wife, Jodee, Natalie Stock, husband, Bruce and Jonathan Griffin; four great-grandchildren, Alexis Clarkson, Jessie Stock, Jared Stock and Jennie Stock; two sisters, Betty Nelson, husband Bob, Laramie, Wyoming and Wanda Klinkhammer, Deland, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents, four sisters, Nellie Abney, Sallie Campbell, Carrie Becker and Jean Nickerson, four brothers, Francis, Everett, Joe, and Bill Parrott, and one son-in-law, Mitchell Bryan, precede her in death.

Mrs. Freel will lie in state from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m., Monday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.   Memorial contributions may be made to Homeland or Bethlehem Cemeteries, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
