Visitation services for Gene Authry Welch, 77, West Plains, Missouri, will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2022, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Welch passed away at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Ozarks Medical Center.

He was born June 22, 1944, at Canadian, Texas, to William Asberry Welch and Nettia Genevery Pulley Welch.  On September 29, 1964, he was married at Elk City, Oklahoma, to Mildred Jones.  He enjoyed fishing, watching birds and time spent with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Mr. Welch was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by three children, Sondra Welch, West Plains, Ronald Welch and wife, Rita, Watonka, Oklahoma and Lanettia Evans and husband, Darrell; ten grandchildren, Bobby, Levi, Krystal, Sabrina, Britne, Justin, Lana, Latisha, Heather and Cody; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Shirley Welch; and many nieces and nephews .

His parents, one daughter, Catrina Collins, one granddaughter, Mildred, six brothers, William, John, Roy, Ray, James and Harold and three sisters, Pearl, Shirley and Louise, preceded him in death.
