Graveside services for J. L. Hutchison, 91, Searcy, Arkansas, formerly of West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 16, 2012, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Hutchison died Monday afternoon, August 13, 2012, at White County Medical Center, Searcy, Arkansas.

He was born August 3, 1921, at Poughkeepsie, Arkansas to Jasper Lee Hutchison Sr. and Junie Hulett Hutchison. On December 12, 1947, he was married at Bono, Arkansas, to Dorothy Lou Griffin, who preceded him in death on October 12, 2009. Mr. Hutchison was a veteran of WWII having served in the United States Marines. He received a Bachelor's degree from the Arkansas State University and a Master's degree from University of Missouri. Before his retirement, Mr. Hutchison had been a teacher for thirty years, having been the business and C.O.E. teacher at West Plains School District for twenty-four years. Mr. Hutchison was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by one son, Ron Hutchison, wife, Donna, Searcy, Arkansas; one daughter, Frances Danenhauer, Denver, Colorado; three grandchildren, Kristen Hutchison Prince, husband, Travis, Jessica Hutchison and Joshua Hutchison, all of Searcy, Arkansas; and one great-grandchild, Landon Prince.

His parents, two brothers, Hale and Harold Hutchison and two sisters, Mable Hutchison and Peggy Goodman, precede him in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
