Jesse Edward Abbott, 77, West Plains, Missouri, passed away at 3:57 a.m., Monday, February 19, 2024, at his home.

He was born February 7, 1947, at Lawrenceburg, Indiana, to Edward Eugene Abbott and Georgia Powell Abbott.  Mr. Abbot was a veteran, having served with the United States Marines.  He was a good father and had a huge family that loved him.  Jesse loved his garden and mushroom hunting.  He was a Christian.

He is survived by his children, John Abbott and wife, Victoria, Robert Abbott and Anna Goedecker; his step-children, Holly Ligon, Amy Wilson, Tom Wilson and Samantha Hofelich; four brothers, Leslie, Tony, Tracey and David Abbott; and many nieces and nephews.

His parents, his wife, Regina Abbott, one son, Jesse Edward Abbott, Jr., one brother, Jerry Abbott and one sister, Lisa Abbott Barrett, preceded him in death.
