Graveside services for Laquitta Ann Underwood, 93, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 15, 2025, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Underwood passed away at 5:28 a.m., Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Brooke Haven Health Care.

She was born March 18, 1932, at Lanton, Missouri, to Charles and Bertha Land.  Laquitta was united in marriage January 21, 1949, to Harris Bentley Underwood, who preceded her in death on October 24, 2002.  To their union six children were born.  She was a wonderful mother and loved her family deeply.  Laquitta's favorite things to do were growing flowers and vegetables, clipping recipes, browsing cookbooks, going out to eat and shopping.  She was an excellent cook, had an amazing green thumb and could grow the most beautiful flowers.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Kent (Don), Lebanon, Missouri, Randall Underwood, Donald Underwood, Roger Underwood (Elaine), Kelly Moncrief (Edward) all of West Plains and Melinda Brewer (Dean), Cabool, Missouri; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She will be forever missed dearly by all those who loved her.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., West Plains, Missouri.
