Lester Joseph Wood, 37, Koshkonong, Missouri, died at 11:54 a.m., Friday, March 29, 2013, at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri.

He was born June 18, 1975, at West Plains, Missouri, to Harold David Wood and Ginger May Nicholson Wood.  He graduated from high school and attended UTI School in Houston, Texas.  He enjoyed working on cars and loved to drive.  Mr. Wood was a Christian and was baptized at an early age. Joe will be missed greatly.

He is survived by his parents, David and Ginger Wood, Koshkonong, Missouri; one brother, Harold Wood, Jr., "Crockett", Koshkonong, Missouri; one niece, Samantha Bunch and her son, Lane; two nephews, Robbie Wood, wife, Amber and their daughter, Holli and Tommy Mowery; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

His sister, Catherine Ann Wood, precedes him in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
