A memorial service for Michael Edward Franz, 29, Peace Valley, Missouri, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the West Plains Skate Park.

Michael passed away Monday, February 23, 2026 Ozarks Healthcare.

He was born June 27, 1996, at Maywood, Illinois, to Michael A. Franz and Kimberly Snyder.  Michael never met a stranger.  He was a very loving, giving and caring person, always willing to help others.  He loved all of his family, including his many friends.  He especially loved his nieces and was a great uncle.  He considered his friends family.  Michael was a class clown in school and carried that on through life.  He enjoyed music, going to music festivals, the outdoors, being on the river and skateboarding.  Michael enjoyed working with his hands and was proud to have his driving permit.

He is survived by his mother, Kimberly Franz, West Plains, Missouri; grandmother, Jill Snyder, Koshkonong, Missouri; two sisters, Kayla Kramer and husband, Yance, Chamois, Missouri and Madison Franz, Chicago, Illinois;  two nieces, Harper and Opie; and aunt and uncles, Stephanie Navarro, Isaac Snyder, Joshua Wilson and wife, Emily and John Regalado.

His father preceded him in death.
