Graveside services for Michael Thomas Olberding, 82, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Meltabarger Cemetery, on County Road 9230, West Plains.

Mr. Olberding passed away November 2, 2025, following a brief illness.

He was born September 28, 1943, in Worthington, Minnesota, to Leander (Bun) Olberding and Mary Daughtery Olberding. Mike was a graduate of Drake University, where he met and married Kay Prantl in 1965. Mike served in the United States Army from 1966-1969, completing his service as a First Lieutenant. Mike worked for State Farm Insurance as a Director of Management, Planning, and Information for over 30 years, first in Monroe, Louisiana, then in Birmingham, Alabama, before retiring with Kay to her family's farm in Howell County, Missouri. He was a member of Brandsville Church of Christ.

Mike is survived by his wife, Kay; his son, Bruce, and granddaughters, Adelaide (Della) and Lila; his daughter, Amy, and his son-in-law, Garret, and granddaughter, Lina (Adelein); as well as by many other family and friends, both near and far. He was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
