Obituary

Funeral services for Minnie Belle Hicks, 79, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 2016 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hicks passed away at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at her home.

She was born February 21, 1936, at Moody, Missouri, to James Wilson Talley and Mildred Bernette Keith Talley.  On August 2, 1951, she was married at Hardy, Arkansas, to William Thomas Hicks.  Mrs. Hicks was a homemaker and had worked at the Dairy Princess and Richards Brothers.  Her family and home were an important part of her life.  She attended church faithfully and was a Christian for many years.  Mrs. Hicks was well known for her kind heart and warm smile; she was deeply loved and will be missed by many.  She was a member of the Curry Street Church of Christ for more than fifty years.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, William; her daughter, Jan Hall and husband, Larry, West Plains, Missouri; son, Bruce Hicks and wife, Madalyn, West Plains, Missouri; four grandchildren, Chad Hall, St. Charles, Missouri, Mandy Pitts and husband, Chad, West Plains, Missouri, Cassie Hicks, Prairie Village, Kansas, Ross Hicks and wife, Abbey, West Plains, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Luke Pitts; two sisters, Betty Green and husband, Kenneth and Margie Ryan; two brothers, Donald Talley and Bill Talley and wife, Sharon; sister-in-law, Juanita Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents, five sisters, Helen Burford, Lorraine Provow, Pauline Miladine, Hazel Henson and Cassie Heinrich; two brothers, Melvin Talley and Oscar Talley; four sisters-in-law, Lorene Aborn, Burnica Thompson, Iretta Young and Pauline Billups and brother-in-law, Dwayne Hicks, precede her in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to OMC Shaw Cancer Treatment Center Expansion Fund and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
