Nancy Ellen Watkins was born March 20, 1942 in Lawrence, Kansas to Cecil and Edith Austill.  She passed away at 7:59 a.m., Friday, September 26, 2014 at the West Vue Nursing Center at the age of seventy-two years.

A graduate of Leavenworth High School, Nancy went on to graduate from St. Luke's School of Nursing in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1963.  She worked as an R.N. for many years, primarily in skilled nursing facilities with her most recent position being at West Vue Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in West Plains.  She loved nursing, enjoyed the patients and staff, and dedicated herself to making sure all received the care they deserved.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her children, Jennifer Watkins, Carthage, Missouri and Chris Watkins, Los Angeles, California; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a brother, Jay Austill, wife, Debbie, Breckenridge, Colorado; a sister, Susan Johnson, West Plains, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Nancy's wishes, there will be no funeral service.  Thank you to Dr. Horstman, Dr. Makarian and the nurses and staff at West Vue for keeping her comfortable during her lengthy illness.
