Oscar Leon Howell, 64, Pomona, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at his home.

He was born August 22, 1959, in Howell County, Missouri, to Oscar T. Howell and Vertris Wake Howell.  Mr. Howell loved to hunt and fish; he enjoyed restoring tractors and farm equipment.  He was always playing jokes and picking on anyone and everyone; he especially loved aggravating his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Virginia Howell, of the family home; five children, Linda Howell, Jackson, Mississippi, Michell Howell, Florida, Jessica Clark, Willow Springs, Missouri, Michael Howell, Pomona, Missouri and Audrey Cain, Livingston, Texas; fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Christine Collins, West Plains, Missouri, Rhonda Sinor, Phoenix, Arizona and Laura Rosenbum, Pomona, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

His parents and one son, Oscar Leon Howell, Jr. preceded him in death.
