Obituary

Randall Roe Deatherage, 74, of the West Plains area, passed away on September 28, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri. He was born October 17, 1951, in Moody, Missouri, to Mines Ray Deatherage and Vada Louise (Hoggatt) Deatherage.

Randall was united in marriage to Cathy Lynn Carlson on May 1, 2004, in West Plains, Missouri. He was a member of the Church of Christ and held his faith and family close to his heart.

Randall enjoyed many of the simple pleasures of life, including hunting, fishing, and watching westerns. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was proud of his Indian heritage and the importance it held in his life.

Randall is survived by his son, Arnold Deatherage and family, of West Plains; five grandchildren, Zena, Tristan, Jasmine and husband Kyle, Jayden, and Brayden; three great-grandchildren; sister, Belle Yeager and husband Steve, of Moody, Missouri; sister-in-law, Betty Deatherage; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cathy; two sisters, Eva Todd and Cathy Deatherage; two brothers, Lawrence Deatherage and Kenneth Deatherage; and many other friends and loved ones.
