A private memorial service for Rick Dean Morgan, 60, Moody, Missouri, will be held at the family home.

Mr. Morgan died at 10:30 p.m., Monday, July 22, 2013, at his home.

He was born November 22, 1952, at West Plains, Missouri, to Clarence Morgan, Jr. and Christine Driver Morgan.  On September 23, 1978, he was married at Washington, Illinois, to Patti Ashbrook.  Prior to his decline in health, he was owner of Ricky D's at South Fork, Missouri.  He loved fishing, motorcycling and spending time with friends and family, especially his great-nephews.  Rick loved to barter, was always willing to trade a piece of gum for a nail.

He is survived by his wife, Patti Morgan, of the family home; two sons, Ryan Morgan, wife, Jenny, South Fork, Missouri and Calvin Morgan, wife, Stacey, Greeley, Colorado; sister, Vicky Dian Morgan, significant other, Jill Shelton, South Fork, Missouri; sister-in-law, Dorothy Ashbrook, Pomona, Missouri; brother-in-law, Mike Ashbrook, wife, Rose, West Plains, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

His parents and brother-in-law, Doug Ashbrook, precede him in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to James Ashbrook Scholarship Fund, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
