Obituary

Ricky Wayne Tuttle, 72, of West Plains, passed away on May 26, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Rick was born on April 30, 1954, in Summersville, to Oran and Phyllis Tuttle. He grew up alongside his brothers, Eugene and Roger Tuttle, at the family service station and graduated from West Plains High School in 1972. Rick spent the majority of his career working at the Shoe Factory. On February 14, 1995, Rick married Shannon Petersen Tuttle, the love of his life. Together, they built a

life centered on faith, love, family, and devotion to God. Rick had a passion for fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending time with those he loved most. He will be remembered for his contagious smile, wonderful sense of humor, generous heart, and willingness to help others.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Shannon Tuttle; his children, Regena Tuttle of West Plains, Cindy Cross and husband, Nathaniel of Pensacola, Mikayla Harris and husband, Ernest of West Plains, Matthew Jackson and wife, Manar, and Melanie Peardon of Cape Girardeau; his grandchildren, Michelle, Aaron, Caleb, Landon, Laynie, Katherine, Zoey, JJ, Rowan, and Blair; his great-grandchildren, Ronald, Aspyn, and Oaklynn; his brother, Roger Tuttle and wife, Martha of West Plains; his mother-in-law, Laura Lee Petersen of West Plains; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oran and Phyllis Tuttle; his father-in-law, R. Boyd Petersen; and his brother, Eugene Tuttle.

Rick was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 18, from 12:00-3:00 p.m. at 2800 Christie Dr, West Plains, MO 65775, with a potluck to follow.
