Funeral services for Robert James Harris, 76, Bakersfield, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Hawkins Ridge Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Harris passed away at 4:00 a.m., Saturday, August 12, 2017 at his home.

He was born February 15, 1941, at Elijah, Missouri, to Claude Harris and Eathel Alice Evans Harris.  Mr. Harris graduated from Bakersfield High School with the Class of 1960.  On November 26, 1960, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Loretta Romans.  Mr. Harris was a farmer and had worked at Baxter Lab.  He enjoyed fishing, feeding birds, his dogs and attending church.  Mr. Harris was a member of Hawkins Ridge Church.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Harris; three children, Terrie Partee, Mountain Home, Arkansas, Sandy Harris, Bakersfield, Missouri and Lisa Hodge, Tampa, Florida; five grandchildren, Justin Partee, Cody Partee, Michael Harris, Hunter Hodge and Jonathan Hodge; two great-grandchildren, Joseph Partee and Rayne Geiger; and one niece, Diane Fuller and husband, Ray.

His parents and one sister, Lois Loree Turner preceded him in death.

Mr. Harris will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Hawkins Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hawkins Ridge Church or Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
