A Memorial service for Roy Ed Johnston, 50, Springfield, Missouri, will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Fowler Chapel Church, Caulfield, Missouri.

Mr. Johnston died at 6:08 p.m., Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.  He was born September 12, 1961, at Gainesville, Missouri, to Edsel and Cleta Harper Johnston.  Mr. Johnston was a member of Fowler Chapel Church.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, Edsel and Joy Johnston, Caulfield, Missouri; three children, Belinda Johnston, Essex, Missouri, Roy Johnston, Jr., Atlanta, Georgia and Elizabeth Johnston, Willow Springs, Missouri; three grandchildren; one brother, Richard Johnston, Caulfield, Missouri; three sisters, Rhonda Watkins, husband, Gary, Caulfield, Missouri, Rita Johnston, Springfield, Missouri and Russella Pyatt, husband, Mike, Pottersville, Missouri; mother of his children, Claudene; special friend, Brian Borovicka, Springfield, Missouri and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

His mother and one brother, Roger, precede him in death.
