Obituary

Funeral services for Thomas Edward Cameron, 85, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Cameron entered eternal peace at 10:04 a.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Brooke Haven Health Care.

He was born August 22, 1931, at Moody, Missouri, to Thomas Morgan Cameron and Mildred Mae O'Dell Cameron.  Tommy graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1949 and later joined the United States Army.  He served in the Korean Conflict and was a proud member of the 40 th Infantry Division.  In February of 1954, he was awarded the Korean Presidential Unit Citation.  On June 9, 1954, he married the love of his life, Freda Eldringhoff.  They made West Plains, Missouri their lifetime home.  In 1972, Mr. Cameron purchased Brotherton Propane.  He was an active member in the Missouri LP Gas Association and served on the Board of Directors.  During his retirement years, Tommy enjoyed his farm and raising cattle.  His love and dedication to his family was only surpassed by his love for God.  Mr. Cameron was a member of the First Church of God, West Plains, Missouri.  Tommy was full of love.  He generously gave to anyone in need.  He will always be remembered for his honesty, integrity, generosity and beautiful smile.

He is survived by his wife, Freda Cameron, of the family home; two daughters, Pam Adams and husband, Ron, West Plains and Karla Connor and husband, Mitch, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Laura Adams, Travis Adams, Alycia Cameron, Thomas Connor, Alexander Connor, Ashley Connor and Emily Connor; two brothers, Henry Cameron and Charles Cameron; and his daughter-in-law, Rhonda Cameron.

His parents, one son, Alan Cameron and one grandson, Shane Cameron, precede him in death.

Mr. Cameron will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Saturday, in the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
