Graveside services for Vernetie Goble, 98, West Plains, Missouri will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Howell Valley Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Goble died at 5:07 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2015, at West Vue Nursing Center.
She was born October 2, 1916, at Mitchell, Arkansas, to William R. and Hattie Lee Sublett. She was married September 9, 1933, to Ewell Copeland, who preceded her in death and on January 13, 1962, she was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Samuel Leslie Goble, who preceded her in death on May 20, 2001. Before her retirement, Mrs. Goble had worked at International Shoe Company and Murrell's Cleaners. She was a babysitter for many children whom she dearly loved. Mrs. Goble was a member of the Olde Tyme Full Gospel Church.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including, Paul Good, wife, Erma, Charles Good, wife Nondes, and Rose Ann Riley, husband, Bob, all of West Plains, Bonnie Hamby, husband, Marion, Independence, Missouri and Wanda Brown, Waynesville, Missouri; many cousins, including Jerry Webb, West Plains, Missouri; and her West Vue family.
Her parents, husbands, three sisters and one brother, precede her in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Howell Valley Cemetery or Olde Tyme Full Gospel Church, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
