Graveside services for Vernie Lee Romans, 59, Moody, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2013, at Pottersville Cemetery.
Mr. Romans died at 11:54 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.
He was born February 22, 1954, at Wichita, Kansas, to Johnny Andrew and Betty Eve Ledbetter Romans. He graduated from West Plains High School and on July 2, 1976, was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Glenda Walker. Mr. Romans was a carpenter and an electrician. He was a member of Lost River Band and loved his banjo and playing bluegrass music.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Romans, of the family home; three children, John Crider, significant other, Becky, Steven Romans and Julie Wirtz, husband, Jerry; six grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny Ray Romans, wife, Romona and Bobby Romans, wife, Brenda; one sister, Rita Croney, husband, Erman, all of the West Plains, Missouri area; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents and three sisters, precede him in death.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
