Funeral services for Paul E. Good, 84, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Good passed away at 4:22 a.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri.
He was born January 7, 1933, at West Plains, Missouri, to Elijah Otto Good and Cora Goble Good. On September 18, 1965, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Erma Jean Counts. Mr. Good worked for over thirty-six years at DRS formerly known as Southwest Truck Body; he also ran a sawmill with his brother, Charles and operated with his two brothers, Charles and Ed, the Good Brothers Farm. Family was important to Paul, especially his granddaughters. Mr. Good was a member of First General Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, song leader and Sunday school teacher for fifty years.
He is survived by his wife, Erma Jean Good, of the family home; one son, Brent Good and wife, Kim, Walnut Shade, Missouri; three granddaughters, Emily, Madison and Katelyn; one brother, Charles Good and wife, Nondes, West Plains, Missouri; three sisters, Evelyn Ousley and husband, John, Jefferson City, Missouri, Faye Kaufmann and husband, Jack, Centertown, Missouri and Rose Ann Riley and husband, Bob, West Plains, Missouri; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and many co-workers at DRS.
His parents, brother, Edward Good, sister-in-law, Roberta Good and niece, Karen Lambert, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Barnett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Barnett Cemetery or Gideon Bible Society and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
