A Memorial service and dinner for Ricky Gene Smith, 56, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 6, 2015, at the Pontiac Fire Station.

Mr. Smith passed away at 6:48 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Ozarks Medical Center.

He was born September 23, 1959, at Bakersfield, California, to Jonas Robert Smith and Jennie Marie Cobbs Smith.  On October 29, 1983, he was married at Las Vegas, Nevada, to Joan Hale.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Smith; four children, Jessica Rodriguez and husband, Daniel, Heather Smith and partner, Amanda Sloniker, Holly LaCaze and husband, Joseph and John Smith and wife, Tracy; four grandchildren, Keira Rodriguez, Haley LaCaze, Rylie LaCaze and Lily Boehland; his father, Jonas Smith; one brother, Joe Smith; one sister, Debbie Garcia and husband, Louis; and many nieces and nephews.

His mother and two brothers, Danny and Terry Smith, precede him in death.
