A memorial service for Robert R. Gleghorn, 89, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Gleghorn passed away peacefully at 10:30 p.m., Thursday, September 20, 2018 at his home.

He was born September 8, 1929, at Corning, Arkansas, to John H. Gleghorn and Grace Fernimen Gleghorn.  Mr. Gleghorn graduated from Summersville High School.  On June 5, 1949, he was married to Uldine Josephine "Deana" Stein at the First United Methodist Church of West Plains.  Robert started working as a lab technician at the West Plains Memorial Hospital and later became the hospital administrator.  He was happiest driving trucks for Southwest Truck Body.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Deana Gleghorn, of the family home; two sons, Stephen Gleghorn, Regina Gleghorn and their children, London and her friend, Bryan Pantazo and Dalton and his friend, Rose Sharp and Kevin Gleghorn and wife, Kelly and their children, Amy Sanders and husband, Steve and their children Forrest, Avery and Grayton and Chad Gleghorn and wife, Kendra and their son, Landry; one sister-in-law, Patti "Lois" Stein; one brother-in-law, Charles Stockwell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

His parents, one granddaughter, Tana Justine Gleghorn and one sister, Deloris Stockwell, preceded him in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to Riverways Hospice or First United Methodist Church and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
