Graveside services for Roy Shirley Schiwitz, 81, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2014, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Schiwitz died at 1:00 a.m., Monday, March 24, 2014, at his home.

He was born March 6, 1933, at Randles, Missouri.  He was married sixty years ago, to Carolyn Parker.  Mr. Schiwitz was a veteran, having served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was awarded the Purple Heart.  Before his retirement, he was an over the road truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Schiwitz, of the family home; two children, Roger Schiwitz, wife, Joan, St. Charles, Missouri and Marcella Dalton, husband, Kevin, Huntley, Illinois; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Christine, Shana, Adam and Bryce; and three great-grandchildren, Avery, Addison and Anna.

His parents and one daughter, Janet York precedes him in death.
