Funeral services for Ruth Ann "Ruthie" Freeman, 76, Pomona, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Oak Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Freeman died at 10:43 a.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Ozarks Medical Center.

She was born August 12, 1936, in Davis County, Iowa, to Anderson and Wilma Suckow Spilman.  She graduated from Davis County High School with the Class of 1953 and on April 21, 1956, she was married at Ottomwa, Iowa, to Marwyn Duane Freeman, who preceded her in death October 24, 2002.  She was one of the first nurse's aides at Davis County Hospital and was a secretary at Gentry's R.V. Sales.  Mrs. Freeman was a member of the Church of Christ and attended the Pomona Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Gentry, special friend, Rex Reid, West Plains, Missouri; three grandchildren, Tim Gentry, West Plains, Nick Gentry, wife, Jill, Shaun Gentry, wife, Carrie; three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Zack and Zane; one sister, Jane Hargrove, Milton, Iowa; sister-in-law Thelma Silman, Moravia, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mary Jo Robertson, Beverly West and Susie Thompson and Families.

Her parents, husband, son-in-law, Jerry Gentry and granddaughter, Carrie Ann, precede her in death.
