Sandra Lea Bosserman
Sandra Lea Bosserman was born November 8, 1949, in Peace Valley, Missouri, to Madge and Stacy Leach. She drew her last breath on June 28, 2025, at the age of 75.
Sandy was a wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, preacher, writer, confidant and friend. She loved life and brought a spark of joy and creativity to wherever God led her. Taking the words of Jesus seriously, Sandy and Maurice opened their home to young people needing a place to lay their heads, often greeting them with a burrito and a cinnamon roll. Sandy loved to write: scavenger hunts and games for her family, Ma and Jed skits, advent devotionals, poems, sermons and the back of Church of the Brethren bulletins. She loved the church and loved God. She did not need others to believe like her or look like her in order to extend God’s love. She saw God’s face in all and in all of creation.
Sandy’s life was a life well lived and a life strongly missed by those she left behind: her husband of over 54 years, Maurice Bosserman, her son, Chris Bosserman and son-in-law, Ty Watkins, her son, Kelly Bosserman and daughter-in-law, Melissa Bosserman along with their three children, Elle, Porter and Hudson Bosserman, her daughter, Jennifer Bosserman and children, Luke, Chloe and Izzy Forsyth, her son in spirit, Will Cousins, her brother, Randy Leach and sister-in-law, Terry Leach as well as a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and sisters and brothers in Christ. May we strive to let God’s light lead our path in the same way that Sandy did.
A service to celebrate Sandy’s life will be held at the Cabool Church of the Brethren in Cabool, Missouri on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. Visitation time in the church fellowship hall will follow the service. All are welcome.
Arrangements under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
