Betty Jo Green

Funeral services for Betty Jo Green, 93, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Green passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Ozarks Healthcare.
She was born November 14, 1931, at Leota, Missouri, to James Wilson Talley and Mildred Bernette Keith Talley. Betty Jo attended grade school at Leota, Missouri and high school at Turlock, California. On October 23, 1948, she was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Cleve Carter, Jr., who preceded her in death on June 7, 1969; to their union three sons were born, Gary, Mike and Larry. On September 15, 1974, she was married at West Plains, to Robert Glenn Cook, who preceded her in death on October 29, 1991. On March 9, 1996, she was married at Springfield, Missouri, to Kenneth Green, who preceded her in death on April 30, 2022. Betty Jo was a homemaker and had worked at the Dairy Princess and Richards Bros. Her home and family were an important part of her life. Mrs. Green was a member of the Curry Street Church of Christ for over 50 years.
She is survived by one son, Larry Carter and wife, Janice, Peace Valley, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Cheryl Carter, Caulfield, Missouri; six grandchildren, Ty Carter, Caulfield, Missouri, Kody Carter and wife, Angie, Marshfield, Missouri, Sara Beck and husband, Michael, Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Kelli McKee and husband, Jason, Pottersville, Missouri, Amber Brown and husband, Steve, West Plains, and Brittany Farmer and husband, Jared, Imperial, Missouri; thirteen great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; one sister, Marge Ryan; one brother, Bill Talley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husbands, two sons, Mike Carter and Gary Carter, six sisters, Helen Burford, Lorraine Provow, Pauline Miladine, Hazel Henson, Cassie Heinrich and Minnie Hicks and four brothers, Donald, Melvin, Oscar and Wilson Talley, preceded her in death.
Burial will be at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity of choice, and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., West Plains, Missouri.

So very sorry to hear about the passing of Betty. Our Deepest Sympathy to each of you on her passing. She was a wonderful caring Christian Woman who was a joy to visit with on the phone or in person too. I have wonderful memories of her which I will cherish as well. We will be keeping all of you in our daily prayers and thoughts. Daily may God provide each of you comfort, strength, encouragement, and peace at this time. May God bless all of you.
